European Cardiac Arrest Awareness week

Under the guidance of Member of the European Parliament Mrs Papadopoulou and ERC board officer Mr Marios Georgiou, a Declaration of the European Parliament on establishing a European cardiac arrest awareness week has been succesfully adopted.

This means that a first important step has been taken to establish such awareness in all EU countries in an attempt to fight against the burden of cardiac arrest.

ERC Board: new officers

The General Assambly of the ERC has appointed new officers to the ERC Board.

Representative of the International Course Committees: Dr John Ballance (UK)

Representative of the Working Groups: Dr Ian Maconochie (UK)

Effective NRC representative: Hildigunnur Svavarsdottir (IS)  

Mrs Svavarsdottir replaces Dr Violetta Raffay who served her one-year term.  

Within one year, MrsSvavarsdottir will be succeeded by Dr Silvija Hunyadi-Anticevic.
