European Cardiac
Arrest Awareness week
Under
the guidance of Member of the European Parliament Mrs Papadopoulou and ERC
board officer Mr Marios Georgiou, a Declaration of the European Parliament
on establishing a European cardiac arrest awareness week has been
succesfully adopted.
This
means that a first important step has been taken to establish such
awareness in all EU countries in an attempt to fight against the burden of
cardiac arrest.

officers
The
General Assambly of the ERC has appointed new officers to the ERC Board.
Representative
of the International Course Committees: Dr John Ballance (UK)
Representative
of the Working Groups: Dr Ian Maconochie (UK)
Effective
NRC representative: Hildigunnur Svavarsdottir (IS)
Mrs
Svavarsdottir replaces Dr Violetta Raffay who served her one-year
term.
Within
one year, MrsSvavarsdottir will be succeeded by Dr Silvija Hunyadi-Anticevic.
